Me and Tarun drew the main character for our space game on Pro Motion NG, an astronaut named Moe. This is his idle animation/standing still pose.
I tried to animate Moe swimming/floating through the air. So far I have animated four frames of this animation.
I tried to animate Moe pushing himself away from the wall. Overall I’m very pleased with how some of these animations turned out. However, there was one mistake that happened where the rest of the 16 frames for the pushing away from the wall animation didn’t save. So when I booted up that same animation there were only 5 frames. It slightly annoyed me but thankfully, I was able to memorise what those 11 missing frames were and I successfully redrew them again.
Tarun drew a layout of what the first level should look like. It will be a puzzle game where the player picks up and moves boxes and tries to avoid getting sucked into black holes.

Today we made the control scheme for our game. Arrow keys and WASD keys move your character. Holding down shift while pressing any arrow or WASD key makes your character move faster. Enter and escape keys pause/exit the game and bring up the menus. Spacebar picks up items and the m key drops them.
Tarun created a table of which premade assets and tile sets to use for the background for our game.
This is a screenshot documenting the tasks on Jira that we have completed or need to complete. We have completed 3 tasks on Jira so far, creating our main character, his idle animation, and his floating animation.

We’ve currently got 4 tasks left to complete on Jira. Those are...
Make the first level on Unreal
Write a GDD about our game/game concept
Source some assets
Make assets
Tarun created a table of premade assets for us to use as the background for our game. These assets include a planet tile set, a cat idle animation, and two space background images. All of these assets are taken from itch.io.
I created Moe’s pick up and put down objects animation using Pro Motion NG, it was when I was creating this animation that I learned how to change the speed of each frame. I learned that typing in a higher number makes the animation slower, and typing in a lower number makes the animation faster.

I created a Pie Chart using the website Canva where I described what domains I succeeded at or learnt from. The domains that I did the most well at were Interpersonal and Procedural.
